Production Progress: Tesla announces fourth quarter and 2024 financial results; highlights record-setting vehicle and energy deployment

Toronto, Ontario – Tesla recently published its fourth quarter and 2024 earnings results, reporting a record-setting vehicle and energy deployment in the period.

Notably, when looking at results for the fourth quarter, the automaker reports having produced approximately 495,000 vehicles and deploying 11 GWh of energy storage products.

Additionally, when looking at specific vehicle models, Tesla’s Model 3 and Model Y were the most produced and delivered for the year, coming in at 1,679,338 vehicles produced and 1,704,093 vehicles delivered.

Other key financial highlights for 2024 from the report include:

  • Revenue of $25.70 billion
  • A total GAAP gross margin of 16.3 percent
  • A net income of $232 billion

The report further concludes that when looking toward 2025, Tesla expects the year to be seminal in the automaker’s history “as supervised full self-driving (FSD) continues to rapidly improve with the aim of ultimately exceeding human levels of safety.”
