SPEAKERS

Alan McClelland - Centennial College

Alan joined Centennial College in 2007 as the chair of truck/coach, heavy duty and modified apprenticeship programs, and stepped into the role of dean in 2011. He has sat on the Colleges Ontario Heads of Apprenticeship Training Committee since 2010 and is currently the chair for this provincial committee. He holds trade qualifications for Automotive Service Technician, Heavy Duty Equipment Technician and Truck and Coach Technician.

Joseph Chung- Call2Recycle

Joseph Chung leads the Account Management team at Call2Recycle Canada, building out the strategy to work with industry steward members and driving battery recycling volume across Canada. He is responsible for all account partner programs to improve awareness and access to end-of-life battery recycling. Joseph leads Call2Recycle Canada’s eMobility and EV battery recycling activity, collaborating with automotive manufacturing and battery recycling industries to provide end-to-end EV battery services and support the booming growth of the Canadian EV industry.

Joseph has 26 years of account management experience in North America across numerous industries, with a successful track record of building and executing strategic initiatives to grow businesses.

Martyn Johns, UAP/NAPA

Martyn Johns has been with NAPA since 2014 and currently serves as national director for NAPA Autopro and Emerging Technologies. Before joining NAPA, Johns was the publisher of Newcom Business media and has worked closely with AIA Canada in the past.

David Giles, Electric Vehicle Expert

Involved in the automotive, truck and transport and collision industries for more than 30 years, David Giles currently serves as the president of PoweredEV Training and Consulting. He first started working with high-voltage vehicles in 2004, training repairers and refinishers on hybrid technology sensitivities in the paint booth. Giles also serves as the EV education product specialist for Consulab, where he works to develop EV curriculum for the automotive industry.
