Fostering Future: EV training for Quebec repairers available via I-CAR Canada and CPCPA partnership

Quebec City, Quebec — I-CAR Canada has partnered with the Provincial Council of Joint Committees of the Automotive Services Industry (CPCPA) to provide electric vehicle (EV) training for repairers in Quebec.

According to a recent press release, “the CPCPA is an association that aims to develop excellence and recognition of the workforce in the automotive services industry across the province of Quebec. The organization’s main mandate is to develop and ensure the standardization of training and qualifications of automotive services employees. Additionally, the CPCPA is responsible for creating and implementing the exams to obtain certifications for industry employees.”

The press release further noted that this recent partnership is part of the I-CAR Canada Industry Training Alliance.

As part of this program, I-CAR Canada is partnering with different training providers, where collision repair shops and businesses can take courses through these providers and receive I-CAR Canada credits. The I-CAR Canada Industry Training Alliance program also allows these different training providers to maintain their Gold Class recognition.

In partnership with the CPCA, collision businesses in Quebec will thus have access to immediate EV training courses in order to provide repairers in the area the opportunity to up-skill their workforce.
