Domestic Debut: Project Arrow premieres at Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto

Toronto, Ontario – The Project Arrow has made its first public debut in Canada, taking the spotlight at the Canadian International Auto Show’s Electric City showcase.

First unveiled at CES 2023 in January, the vehicle was designed and built as an individualized but functional show piece, demonstrating the capabilities of domestic manufacturing and design rather a prototype with plans for mass manufacturing.

The Canadian International Auto Show ran at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre through to this past Sunday, but media was given a sneak peak at the vehicle one day prior to the show’s official opening. While the EV Test Track does allow for drivers to test most EVs, Project Arrow is currently uninsured and not safety certified.

Project Arrow is a concept electric vehicle that was designed, engineered and built in Canada, due in large part to the Automotive Parts Manufacturers Association and more than 50 other partners including, Ontario Tech University.

Flavio Volpe, head of the APMA, describes the Arrow as a showcase for Canadian automotive technology and expertise, saying “what we’ve done here is we’ve created the kit for anybody that wants to do an automotive startup in Ontario or Quebec.”

“They just have to solve the hardest part, which is to go get some risk capital.”
