Delivery Drops: Tesla reports lowest vehicle deliveries in 2025 first quarter results

Toronto, Ontario – Tesla has released its first quarter 2025 financial resort, where the automaker reported its lowest rate of vehicle deliveries.

Notably, in the first quarter, Tesla reported delivering 336,681 vehicles, a 13 percent year-over-year decline from Q1 2024.

Based on specific data, the Model 3 and Model Y accounted for 323,800 of the deliveries, while the Cybtertruck, Model S and Model X accounted for just 12,881 deliveries. For these models, this represents a 45 percent drop compared to the previous quarter.

From a production perspective, Tesla also produced 363,615 vehicles—down from 433,371 in 2024—while on the energy side of the business, the automaker further reported 10.4 gigawatt hours (GWh) of energy storage products were deployed. As with other figures, this data is down from Q4 2024, with 11.0 GWh deployed.

“In the first quarter, we produced over 362,000 vehicles, delivered over 336,000 vehicles and deployed 10.4 GWh of energy storage products. While the changeover of Model Y lines across all four of our factories led to the loss of several weeks of production in Q1, the ramp of the New Model Y continues to go well. Thank you to all our customers, employees, suppliers, shareholders and supporters who helped us achieve these results,” Tesla concluded.
