Saskatoon, Saskatchewan — The next stop on Collision Repair magazine’s EV Repair Tour, supported by Fix Network, will be in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, on September 8.
As part of the Saskatchewan Association of Automotive Repairers’ annual event, the EV Repair Tour Saskatoon will feature two speakers: Kim Kos of Kavia Auto Body and Scott Kucharyshen of Saskatchewan Polytechnic.
Kim Kos is the manager of Kavia Auto Body, a part of the AutoCanada Collision Centre network. Kavia touts several OEM certifications, including Tesla, and has plenty of experience working with the electric automaker’s cars. Tune in on Sept. 8 to hear how Kavia Auto Body integrates EVs into their production schedule and overall operations.
Scott Kucharyshen is the program head of Saskatchewan Polytechnic’s Auto Body program. He started out at age 13 at the family mechanics garage doing everything from oil changes to splitting tractors and helping on the farm. In 1993, Kucharyshen attended SIAST Kelsey (now Sask Polytech) and graduated top of the class. He has since worked in all facets of industry from restoration to collision including painting, body, and frame.
Kucharyshen became head of the Auto Body Program in 2014. where he and his team have become the first OEM, I-CAR and BETAG-certified school shop in North America. He and his team continue to break down education barriers and strive to better serve the auto body industry; hear how electric vehicles will fall into that on Sept. 8.
